Vietti Food Group has pulled 4,515 cases of Yellowstone Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans from shelves across 23 states. The Nashville company discovered the beans contain soy that isn’t listed on the label.

For people with soy allergies, eating these beans could trigger serious or life-threatening reactions. The FDA requires all major allergens like soy to be clearly marked on food labels.

The FDA announcement emphasized that individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

The affected 15-ounce cans show “Best if Used By Feb 17, 2028” on the bottom. They were sold at Walmart, Meijer, Hy-Vee, Food City, and stores supplied by Associated Wholesale Grocers.

States receiving the recalled beans include Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.

The recalled beans are part of a product line connected to the “Yellowstone” television series. This recall follows other recent food safety concerns, including nearly 200,000 cans of green beans pulled in March due to possible contamination.

Checking pantries promptly when recalls are announced is important, as canned goods often remain unused for months after purchase.
