The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the selection list for the Pharmacist (Aushadhi Nirikhsha) recruitment, covering 3,144 posts across state government health facilities. Candidates who appeared in the UPSSSC Pharmacist written examination can check their result on the official website upsssc.gov.in.

How to Check the UPSSSC Pharmacist Result

  1. Visit the official UPSSSC portal: upsssc.gov.in
  2. Navigate to “Results” or “Latest Updates” on the home page
  3. Click on the “Pharmacist (Aushadhi Nirikhsha) Selection List” link
  4. The PDF will open — search your Roll Number using Ctrl+F
  5. Download and save the PDF for document verification

Selection Process

The UPSSSC selection for Pharmacist posts is based on:

  • Written Examination score — conducted by UPSSSC testing pharmaceutical knowledge
  • Document Verification — educational qualifications, pharmacy diploma/degree from a recognised institution, and pharmacy council registration
  • Final appointment merit list based on written exam marks

Eligibility Reminder

Role of Government Pharmacists

Government pharmacists in Uttar Pradesh are posted in district hospitals, community health centres (CHCs) and primary health centres (PHCs) across the state. Their responsibilities include dispensing prescription medicines, maintaining drug registers, checking medicine quality, and educating patients on correct medication use. The role is critical to delivering the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and Ayushman Bharat free medicine services to rural populations.

Salary and Benefits

Selected UPSSSC Pharmacists are placed in Pay Level 5 under the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix, with a gross monthly salary of approximately ₹28,000–₹35,000 including DA and HRA. Government pharmacists are also entitled to paid medical leave, pension under NPS, and opportunities for departmental promotion to Senior Pharmacist and Drug Inspector roles.
