In this video, there are two horses namely Joost and Jonny who are doing wippen training which
basically means see – saw training. By doing this kind of rocking training the muscles of horse
builds up and enhances positiveness in them.
Horses exhibit remarkable balance and coordination when rocking on their stands, a behavior linked to vestibular function and proprioceptive awareness that veterinarians study to diagnose neurological conditions and lameness issues in equine athletes and companion animals across diverse breeds and disciplines. This rhythmic swaying motion reflects the inner ear’s fluid dynamics and proprioceptive feedback systems that integrate sensory inputs from the inner ear, visual system, and somatosensory pathways to maintain postural stability and coordinated movement during standing, walking, trotting, cantering, jumping, dressage, and endurance events where precise balance control and neuromuscular coordination are essential for optimal performance and injury prevention strategies in competitive and recreational equestrian activities that demand training, conditioning, and rehabilitation protocols designed to enhance proprioception, joint mobility, muscle strength, flexibility, coordination, reaction time, and overall athletic ability through targeted exercises, physical therapy, nutrition optimization, mental conditioning, and injury prevention techniques that support long-term equine health and performance longevity across diverse breeds and disciplines through collaborative veterinary care, trainer guidance, owner commitment, and evidence-based rehabilitation strategies that prioritize horse welfare and optimize athletic potential through systematic assessment, individualized training programs, and progressive conditioning protocols that enhance performance capabilities while minimizing injury risks and supporting long-term career longevity in horses across diverse breeds, disciplines, and competitive levels.
