Introducing XPENG X9: Smart Tech Meets Family Mobility in New 7-Seater

XPENG, a key player in China’s Smart EV sector, recently launched the XPENG X9, a transformative 7-seater MPV built on the SEPA2.0 architecture. Priced between RMB 359,800 and 419,800, this vehicle is a blend of MPV comfort and SUV flexibility, available immediately for the Chinese market.

He Xiaopeng, XPENG’s CEO, noted, “Our goal is to seize growth opportunities through our leadership in Smart EV technologies.” This launch marks XPENG’s expansion in the Smart EV arena, contributing to the adoption of autonomous driving.

The X9‘s versatility is a game-changer. It smoothly transitions from a 7-seater to a 4-seater SUV, addressing varying family needs. The vehicle is empowered by the SEPA2.0 architecture, bringing a new wave of innovation in design, intelligence, space, handling, and safety.

Driving technology is at the forefront with XPENG’s XNGP ADAS and XOS Tianji system. The XNGP ADAS efficiently manages multiple driving scenarios, setting the stage for autonomous driving. XOS Tianji, an in-car smart operating system, enhances the driving experience with features like multi-tasking, a customizable XDock, and an AI-empowered voice assistant.

Space-wise, the X9 offers a 7.7m² interior, accommodating seven passengers comfortably. The third-row seats are electrically foldable, expanding the boot to 2,554L. It also boasts a smart refrigerator, a 21.4″ display, and zero-gravity reclining sofas.

Handling is a significant advantage. The X9, with its active rear-wheel steering and intelligent dual-chamber air suspension, ensures smooth navigation with a 5.4m turning radius.

2023 was a pivotal year for XPENG, with the introduction of SEPA2.0 and a record 141,601 units sold. From January 2, 2024, the XNGP ADAS will expand to 243 cities, furthering XPENG’s vision of smart mobility.
