More than 110,000 Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridges have been pulled from the market because they could catch fire. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recalled on September 11, 2025, after 27 reports of units overheating and catching fire.

The problem stems from an electrical switch that can short-circuit, overheat, and create both fire and burn hazards. While no injuries have been reported so far, there has been property damage to the units themselves and nearby surfaces.

Which fridges are affected?

The recall covers two sizes of the beauty fridges, which are designed to store skincare and cosmetic products:

  • 4-liter models in pink, white, aqua, and hot pink
  • 10-liter models in pink and white

Only units made before August 2024 are included in the recall. The specific model numbers are: PH11887, PH11887-1, PZB02-E001, PH12540, PZP01-E001, and PZW01-E001.

For 4-liter models, check the back of the unit for a label with the model and serial number. For 10-liter models, this label is on the bottom. Most units have Paris Hilton branding on the door in the right lower corner, though some display it in the top middle.

Where were they sold?

These mini fridges were available at Walmart and Ross stores, as well as online through Walmart.com, Amazon.com, and other websites from November 2022 through July 2025. The smaller 4-liter model cost about $30, while the larger 10-liter version sold for approximately $60.
