The selected candidates will be placed at Grade Level 6 under the 7th Central Pay Commission, with a pay scale of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 per month.
Eligibility requirements center on engineering qualifications, age limits, and discipline-specific criteria. Some vacancies may have additional physical or medical requirements, particularly those under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO). A significant procedural change this year involves the application portal. SSC has implemented One Time Registration (OTR), requiring live photo capture through a webcam or mobile device against a plain white background. Simply uploading a passport scan will not work—the system mandates a live capture. Candidates applying from home need adequate lighting and a neutral background.
