With the title of the world’s most powerful production car claimed by it, a new standard for what a production car can achieve has been set by the Lotus Evija. Producing a combined output of 1,972 horsepower and 1,253 lb-ft of torque, the Evija is powered by four electric motors.

The Lotus unveiled a special edition Evija Fittipaldi to mark the start of production and celebrate 50 years since Emerson Fittipaldi became the F1 Champion in 1972. Lotus will build only 130 examples of the Evija (including the 8 Evija Fittipaldi edition), all of which have already been sold out.
