- India is all set to get a new elephant reseda soon. Union Ministry of Forest, Environment & Climate Change (MoFECC) has given its nod to the Terai Elephant Reserve (TER) in Uttar Pradesh, which will be spread in a 3,049 sq km area, including Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR) & Pilibhit Reserve (PTR).

The Delhi – based think tank Centre for Policy Research (CPR) in its report found that individuals representing potential polluters (local authorities, industries & public sector corporations) account for 53 % of the board members in the State Pollution Control Boards.
