The electric truck segment is facing fierce competition due to the immense popularity of pickup trucks & increasing demand for EVs. As electric trucks are expensive, it makes them unaffordable for automotive shoppers.

The Alpha Wolf 2024 is an upcoming model that’s not too expensive, making it accessible for a wide range of customers. The Alpha Wolf is the cheapest new electric pickup truck in America, with a starting price of $36,000 MSRP.

The Alpha Wolf’s affordability is impressive, as the average cost of new cars is nearly $50,000. The Alpha Wolf (AW) 2024 is much more budget-friendly as compared to other electric truck models, such as the Ford F-150 Lighting & Ram 1500 REV. The Alpha Wolf is the first of its-kind in America: a small electric truck.

It’s smaller than other new electric trucks due to its 190-inch length. Pickup trucks of yesteryear have inspired the design of the Alpha Wolf, & its retro look hearkens back to models from the 1980s.

It bodes well for the Alpha Wolf, as the Ford Maverick & the Hyundai Santa Cruz have shown that compact trucks can be successful in the US. The Alpha Wolf offers either a single electric motor rear-wheel drive or a dual motor all-wheel drive system.

The electric truck can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds with the dual-motor version. The Alpha Wolf has a maximum towing capacity of 3,000 pounds. The Alpha Wolf is geared for off-road driving, making it a good option for off-road enthusiasts & campers.

The wolf can travel up to an estimated 275 miles on a full charge. Due to the rapid charger feature, it has fast charging capabilities. The 2023 GMC Hummer EV Pickup & the 2024 GMC Sierra EV are the most expensive electric trucks.

The Sierra EV starts at $108,695 MSRP for the Denali Edition 1 model, while the Hummer EV Pickup has a starting price of $110,295 MSRP. The Alpha Wolf is a much more affordable option compared to these models.

A startup EV maker, Alpha Motor Inc., is founded by Edward Lee, Inventor of the Lexus LC 500. The company’s partner is UHI Group, which specializes in manufacturing, engineering, & testing for the automotive & aerospace industries.

Prototypes for another EV startup called Canoo, which bodes well for Alpha Motors, have been produced by UHI. According to Alpha Motors, a running prototype of the “Wolf” pickup truck was under construction in December, last year.

To finish testing later this year was the goal, which makes the progression of the project into full production sound like an inevitability. A priority for the company will be the Wolf pickup line over other models.

The Alpha Wolf can even be reserved on Alpha Motor‘s website. The company has a partner named the KC Lights brand, & will be displayed on the Alpha Wolf truck.
