The organisers of Beyond Gravity have announced the commentary team for the 2027 event at Maydena Bike Park: Rob Warner and Wyn Masters will call the race, with Masters also taking on a trackside coverage role.

Beyond Gravity is scheduled for February 26–27, 2027, at Maydena Bike Park in Tasmania, Australia. The event will be broadcast as pay-per-view at A$14.95.

Why This Announcement Matters

Warner and Masters are familiar names to mountain bike fans — Warner through his long career as a commentator for UCI Downhill World Cup events, Masters through his years as a professional downhill racer turned broadcaster. Their involvement signals that Beyond Gravity is investing in broadcast quality rather than relying solely on the novelty of the event format.

Beyond Gravity’s athlete roster was announced in an earlier wave, with the first nine riders confirmed and a minimum prize pool of A$190,000 on the table. The commentary announcement follows that first wave and frames the broadcast as a deliberate product — pay-per-view positioning combined with recognised voices suggests an audience that the organisers expect to pay for quality coverage rather than depend on a free feed.

Masters’ dual role — commentary booth and trackside — gives the production real-time access from both vantage points. That’s a format used in motorsport broadcasts and adds to the sense that Beyond Gravity is positioning itself as a step above typical mountain bike race coverage.

How to Watch

Beyond Gravity 2027 will be available as pay-per-view at A$14.95. The specific broadcast platform had not been confirmed in the available reporting at time of publication. Check the Beyond Gravity official channels for platform and purchase details as February 2027 approaches.
