Arike Ogunbowale scored a season-high 32 points. Jessica Shepard added a career-best 26. The Dallas Wings beat the Indiana Fever 91-85 on Thursday night at American Airlines Center, ending the Fever’s five-game winning streak, per the WNBA official game summary.

Kelsey Mitchell tied her season high with 37 points for the Fever. She scored 21 before halftime. That gave her the WNBA record with her 21st consecutive game scoring at least 20 points. She broke the previous mark held by Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson. Mitchell shot 4 of 7 from three-point range and made all 15 of her free throws.

Caitlin Clark had 10 points and nine assists. Paige Bueckers finished with 13 points and eight assists. Both former No. 1 overall picks struggled shooting, combining to go 9 of 31 from the field. Their rough night came six days after each scored 29 in the Fever’s 98-87 victory.

The loss kept the Fever from setting a franchise record for victories. They remained at 24 wins, matching last season’s total.

For the Wings, the win was only their fourth in 12 games since a six-game winning streak. That streak was their longest since the team moved to Texas 10 years ago.

Dallas announced before the game that this year’s No. 1 overall pick, Azzi Fudd, will miss the rest of the season for arthroscopic surgery on her right knee.

Mark Cuban, minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks, sat courtside. Cooper Flagg, the 2025 No. 1 overall NBA draft pick and reigning NBA Rookie of the Year, watched from a suite.

The game drew 20,297 fans. There were nine lead changes and eight ties.

Clark, Bueckers, and Fever forward Aliyah Boston are expected to debut together on the senior U.S. women’s national team at the FIBA World Cup.

The Fever and Wings will play again in the regular season finale.
