Ford Canada just slapped recall notices on 22,664 F-150 pickups and a batch of Lincoln Nautilus SUVs. The truck problem? Busted rear axle hub bolts that could leave you stranded—or worse, with a runaway rig if you forget the parking brake.

Ford tagged the F-150 recall as 25S82, focusing on 2023-2025 models packing the Trailer Tow Max Duty package with that 9.75-inch heavy-duty axle. These trucks rolled off the line between January 2, 2023 and May 21, 2025.

The bolt issue isn’t fresh news for Ford. This expands on last year’s 23S65 recall campaign that tackled the same headache. When these bolts snap, the axle shaft splines wear down fast, potentially killing power to your wheels without warning.

Over in the luxury corner, 2025 Lincoln Nautilus SUVs (built March 9, 2025 through July 24, 2025) got hit with recall 25C39. The culprit? A fried diode in the LED module that can knock out headlights, running lights, turn signals, and on the Nautilus, even the taillights.

Transport Canada didn’t mince words about the safety risks. A sudden power loss while driving increases crash odds, and a rollaway situation without the parking brake engaged could flatten anything in its path.

Dealers will swap out the bad parts on Ford’s dime. The company starts mailing notices August 18, 2025, but some owners might wait until May 22, 2026 for their official letter due to staggered notifications.

Think your rig might be affected? Hit up Ford’s VIN checker at ford.ca/support/recalls or dig through Transport Canada’s database. Ford will send two letters—first to confirm you’re affected, then another when parts arrive at your dealer.

Ford’s quality woes keep piling up. The Blue Oval cranked out 63 recalls in 2024—putting it behind Stellantis’ 67 campaigns, according to industry data.

Ford says it’s implementing more rigorous launch processes to address quality issues going forward.

So far, nobody’s reported crashes or injuries from either defect, according to official filings. Ford’s dealership techs already have the repair procedures in hand for the F-150s, while the Lincoln lighting modules repairs are expected later in 2025.

The recall covers these specific vehicles due to defects that could cause drive power loss, rollaway incidents, or lighting failures. Owners will get notification letters and free repairs at their dealers.
