Bridgeview firefighters set sixth annual Memorial Stair Climb for September 19 at SeatGeek Stadium

Bridgeview firefighters will hold their sixth annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at SeatGeek Stadium on September 19, 2026, climbing 110 flights of stairs to honor first responders who died in the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The event is organized by Bridgeview Fire Fighters Local 4330 and is open to community participants, spectators, and supporters. This year’s climb moves to SeatGeek Stadium from the previous venue at Swallow Cliff, a change that provides expanded parking and wider spectator access for the southwest suburban Chicago community.

Funds raised through the stair climb benefit the 100 Club of Chicago, which provides financial support to the families of first responders killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty. The 100 Club focus reflects an ongoing recognition within the first responder community that the psychological and financial toll of emergency work — including the lasting burden carried by survivors and family members of the September 11 attacks — requires dedicated, sustained support.
