Karmactive TeamBenjamin Von Wong is the artist behind this giant art installation titled, ‘Turn Off The Plastic Tap’, This giant levitating tap is shown spewing plastic waste, more specifically single-use plastic.
Wong is based in Montreal, Canada & combines awareness, fantasy and photography. He has executed many projects previously. Some of them are; Mermaids Hate Plastic, Plastikophobia, Strawpocalypse, Rethink Recycle Revive, Clothing The Loop, Toxic Laundry, and many more.
The giant tap leaking plastic depicts the truth about the overflow of garbage in the world. It clearly represents the global plastic crisis. Vong wanted to touch the source of the plastic problem with this piece. The team uses recycled plastic rope during shoots made out of bottles. These installations are almost three stories tall. He prefers using eco-friendly or reclaimed material only.
Benjamin’s work speaks of awareness, more specifically plastic pollution awareness. His work has generated over 100 million views for causes like ocean plastics, electronic waste, and fashion pollution.
