WATT Renewable Corporation, a leader in sustainable development and provider of hybrid solar solutions, has recently announced a significant collaboration with Clear Blue Technologies International Inc. This partnership aims to deploy 1000 solar hybrid powered systems for telecom towers across Nigeria and Africa over the next three years. This move represents a substantial stride in the advancement of renewable energy solutions in the region.
In October, WATT Renewable secured a major funding boost of $13 million USD from Empower New Energy, marking this as the largest investment by Empower to date. This investment is a testament to WATT Renewable’s commitment to enhancing its renewable energy portfolio, which includes an impressive addition of 8MW of installed generating capacity and 14.3MWh of storage capacity. This funding is not just a financial milestone but a significant leap towards reducing the carbon footprint and aligning with global efforts to combat climate change. It is estimated that this initiative will reduce diesel consumption by approximately 3 million liters per year, translating to a reduction of around 7,039 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually.
The partnership between WATT Renewable and Clear Blue is not just about technology deployment; it also encompasses a comprehensive approach to promoting sustainable energy solutions in Africa. WATT Renewable has standardized its service offering on Clear Blue’s Esite-Micro technology and its Illumience Smart Cloud management and analytics platform. This strategic alliance is expected to co-market and promote mutual offerings, aiming to deliver WATT’s Energy as a Service based on Clear Blue’s Smart Power technology and services.
