One could imagine that amid the chaos and concerns over lives and properties, even the French National Assembly was affected when water started leaking down through the domed ceiling during the session. Authorities reported that over 1homes were hit and 39,000 lightning strikes were detected all across France and Belgium. Hailstones were bigger than golf balls in some areas, and wind gusts reached up to 70mph.
