Chinese electric vehicle maker Zeekr has officially launched its 7X electric SUV in Australia, bringing three variants to the local market with competitive pricing that starts at $57,900.

The company revealed the model at an Australian launch event where Frank Li, Vice President of Zeekr International and Managing Director of Zeekr Australia, announced pricing across the three-tier lineup.

Pricing starts at $57,900 for the base Rear-Wheel Drive model, $63,900 for the mid-tier long-range rear-wheel drive version, while the range-topping all-wheel drive performance model will cost $72,900.

The entry-level rear-wheel drive model comes equipped with a 75 kWh “Golden Brick” battery offering 480 km of WLTP-certified range and a 0-100 km/h time of 6 seconds.

Zeekr positions the 7X cockpit as a fusion of Scandinavian minimalism and high-voltage EV tech — designed to keep drivers comfortable on long WLTP-rated runs and quick charging stops. Small but thoughtful touches — modular storage, hidden charging pads and tidy cupholders — underline Zeekr’s focus on daily usability for families and commuters.

Stepping up to the long-range rear-wheel drive variant provides a larger 100 kWh NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) battery with 615 km of WLTP range while maintaining the same 6-second acceleration time.

The performance all-wheel drive model uses the same 100 kWh NMC battery but sacrifices some range for speed, delivering 543 km of WLTP range and cutting the 0-100 km/h sprint to just 3.8 seconds.

Like other vehicles built on Zeekr’s SEA architecture, the 7X benefits from 800-volt high-voltage battery technology. The RWD model with 75kWh battery can charge from 10-80% in just 13 minutes under optimal conditions when connected to compatible 450kW DC fast chargers, while the 100kWh models take about 16 minutes at up to 420kW DC charging.

The 800-volt system places the 7X among a small group of EVs in Australia capable of ultra-rapid charging, though the availability of chargers that can fully utilize this capability remains limited across the country.
