Everyone on the San Diego freeway were stunned to see a sea lion crossing. Few good samaritans came forward to escort the sea lion across the busy freeway.
This instance is not the first. In the past, sea lions have lost their way and were found on busy streets in many parts of the world.
Sea World San Diego received many calls regarding the sea lion sighted on the freeway. The San Diego Sea World rescue team responded and used nets to rescue the sea lion. The sea lion was safely taken back.
Many have appreciated the help offered by citizens for the safety of the sea lion.
