A fabric dresser sold on Walmart.com is now the subject of a federal recall after safety regulators found it poses a tip-over risk that could seriously injure or kill young children.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled more than 16,800 EnHomee 9-drawer fabric dressers sold by Raybee-Direct on Walmart.com. The units violate the mandatory federal safety standard for clothing storage units established under the STURDY Act — legislation Congress passed in 2022 requiring dressers and similar furniture to meet stability standards without wall anchoring.
The recalled dressers feature nine fabric drawers supported by a metal frame and come in white, brown, gray, and black. Raybee-Direct sold them exclusively through Walmart.com between September 2023 and March 2026 for approximately $80 each. Only units ordered before March 30, 2026, are covered by this recall.
According to the CPSC, the dressers are unstable when not secured to a wall, creating tip-over and entrapment hazards that can cause serious injury or death — particularly to young children. The agency reports no injuries or incidents tied to these specific units have been recorded so far.
Anyone who owns one of these dressers should stop using it immediately if it is not wall-anchored and move it out of reach of children. To receive a full refund, consumers must contact Raybee-Direct directly for instructions on confirming whether their unit is included in the recall and for guidance on disposal.
This recall is part of a broader enforcement push under the STURDY Act. Walmart has faced several recall actions in recent months across different product categories. A separate recall of Walmart’s own Mainstays 9-drawer fabric dressers — a different product line — was issued earlier in 2026 under the same federal clothing storage standard, covering a significantly larger number of units.
