President Donald Trump’s approval rating has shifted in the wake of the nationwide “No Kings” protests, according to new polling data released this week.Newsweek’s tracker now shows Trump’s net approval rating at -6 points, with 46 percent approving and 52 percent disapproving.

 The 250th Birthday of the U.S. Army Grand Military Parade and Celebration [7] (widely referred to as “Trump’s military parade” [a] ) took place on June 14, 2025, in Arlington, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., United States, to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the traditional date of the founding of the United States Army on June 14, 1775. Trump, whose 79th birthday corresponded with the Army anniversary, had long dreamed of holding such a display of America’s military might.

The police department issued a statement regarding a shooting that occurred on June 14th during the no kings protests. According to the police statement released Sunday, volunteers wearing neon green vests and armed with handguns confronted protesters in the area. Police said the volunteers identified themselves as “peacekeepers” and “ordered Gamboa to drop the weapon” before one of them opened fire.

The shooting sent hundreds of people fleeing in panic, with crowds seeking shelter in parking garages, behind barriers, and inside nearby businesses, police reported in their statement about the incident.

The “peacekeeper” fired three rounds during the confrontation. The gunfire fatally wounded Ah Loo and injured Gamboa, who was hospitalized before being arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on a murder charge, according to the police department’s statement on the June 14th shooting.
