TJX Europe is recalling six varieties of Les Florentins Chocolat Biscuits because they contain gluten that isn’t listed on the label. These 100g packs were sold in TK Maxx and Homesense stores across England, Scotland, and Wales.
The recall affects six flavors: Orange Chocolat Noir, Caramel Chocolat Lait, Orange Chocolat Lait, Fruits Rouges Chocolat Noir, Menthe Chocolat Noir, and Citron Chocolat Noir. The affected products have batch codes 17025, 17125, 18325, 18425, and 18825, with best-before dates ranging from June 19, 2026, to July 7, 2026.
For people with coeliac disease or intolerance, consuming these products could cause serious health problems. Coeliac disease is an autoimmune disorder where eating gluten damages the small intestine, while gluten intolerance can cause digestive discomfort, fatigue, and other symptoms.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued the alert on September 19, 2025. TJX Europe has taken action by putting up notices in all stores selling these products, explaining why they’re being recalled and what customers should do.
“If you have bought the above products and have an allergy or intolerance to gluten, do not eat them,” the FSA warning states. Instead, customers should return the products to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a refund or replacement.
TJX Europe has set up a customer service line for those with questions. Customers can call 01923 473561 or email customerservice@tjxeurope.com for more information about the recall.
