Kmart has pulled its Anko Heated Elbow Wrap from stores across Australia following reports of customers getting burned. The product, which was meant to help with muscle relief, can become dangerously hot if not positioned correctly.
The recall affects all Anko Heated Elbow Wraps with product code 43463275 sold between January 1 and April 4, 2025, at Kmart and Target stores nationwide, including online purchases and those made through the Kmart app.

“We take the quality and safety of our products very seriously,” Kmart stated in their public announcement. The company confirmed that customers have already reported burn injuries from using these heat pads.
The main safety issue stems from the wrap overheating when it’s either positioned wrong or wrapped too tightly around the elbow. People who are sensitive to heat face an even higher risk of injury.

If you bought this wrap as a gift for someone else, let them know about the recall right away. The heat pad was popular as a muscle relief tool, but the risk of burns now outweighs any potential benefits.
The recall covers all Anko Heated Elbow Wraps sold during the specified period, though other Anko heated products for wrists and ankles aren’t affected by this safety issue.
