Qantas members can now use their points on Hawaiian Airlines flights, opening up new travel options across Hawaii, the US mainland, and beyond. The partnership, which started Thursday, lets frequent flyers book reward seats to all four major Hawaiian Islands and 15 US cities.

The deal comes as Qantas reports that its members are increasingly using points for partner airline travel, with such bookings doubling over the past five years.

“Hawaii is one of the most sought-after destinations for our Frequent Flyers,” said Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance. “Members will be able to use their points to connect to Hawaiian Islands or build Honolulu into their trip as a stopover on the way to North America.”

The partnership builds on Qantas’ new direct Melbourne-Honolulu route launched in May. Travelers can now earn Qantas points and Status Credits when flying on Hawaiian Airlines flights with a QF flight number.
