Off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico is where the world’s second-deepest blue hole has been discovered. Dubbed ‘Taam Ja,’ which means ‘deep water’ in Maya, this blue hole has little oxygen, and sunlight only shines on the surface.
