Makita U.S.A. has issued a recall for approximately 62,927 professional cordless grease guns and certain grease gun hoses because of a safety risk. The recall, announced on September 4, 2025, comes after reports that the flexible hoses can develop holes that allow grease to spray out during use, potentially causing cuts to users.  The Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) reports five people have suffered laceration injuries from these failing hoses worldwide.
