FDA Alert: DermaRite Expands Recall of 16 Skin Care Products Due to Life-Threatening Bacterial Risk

DermaRite Industries has expanded its July recall to include additional skin care products potentially contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia bacteria, according to an FDA announcement on August 28, 2025. The expanded recall now covers multiple product lines including hand sanitizers, cleansers, skin protectants, and deodorants distributed throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. The contamination poses serious health risks, particularly for immunocompromised individuals.
