Manoj Patel is based in Gujarat, India, studied architecture from D.C Patel School of Architecture, And pursued post-graduation in Climate Change and Sustainable Development in 2014 from CEPT University, Gujarat.

Who Is Manoj Patel?

These sustainable projects by Manoj have been honoured & awarded, included “Young Practice of the Year” by Institute of Indian Interior Designers for innovative products from clay roof tiles.

He was selected under top 50 “Young Architects of the Year in India” by Architect and Interior India Magazine Designs Made From Clay For Cooler & Sustainable Structures.

His projects have received recognition such as “Building of the Year 2020” nomination and “50 Best International House Design” selection.

In 2015, Patel established his own firm ‘Manoj Patel Design Studio’. The firm majorly focuses on sustainable building designs and restyling of space with contemporary elucidation for design through exploration of waste and recyclable materials.

Manoj has designed buildings in Gujarat, made of clay and waste that are 50% cheaper and more cooler.

Manoj manages to revive tradition by using clay & reusing clay and waste tiles to save from unnecessary construction costs hence adding sustainability in his architecture.

A Clay Cooling Device 

Wasted clay tiles are used in pattern to form planters. After plantations regularly watering the plants allows the clay to absorb water. The passing breeze is cooled by the porous clay.
