Notwithstanding the expansion of hydrogen, there are still obstacles to overcome, chiefly because producing hydrogen from coal and natural gas is expensive.

Based on the Wärtsilä 31 engine architecture, the hydrogen-ready power plant features quick grid synchronization—it takes just 30 seconds from the start instruction.

The power plant has already completed the first stage of the H2-Readiness certification process from TÜV SÜD, demonstrating that it complies with strict quality and safety requirements.
