Toronto's TTC Advances $2.5M eBus Plan

TTC or the Toronto Transit Commission is primarily a public transport agency in Toronto, a city in Canada. They operate the majority of the public buses and rails.

TTC adheres to the greener goal of Canada and uses environment-friendly technologies like clean diesel, hybrid-electricity and eBus.

TTC has successfully maintained its low-emission (of greenhouse gases) goals, given it emits significantly lesser amounts than average and has shown improvements over the years.

TTC has a goal of attaining fifty percent zero emissions by next 5 years and a complete zero emission goals have been set for 2040, thus TTC has been receiving only eBuses from the middle of this year.

This total electrification is not an easy process, and it's even more complicated due to TTC being public transportation, where other various factors are essential.

The walk towards complete electrification has been, however, catalysed by the implementation of smart charging system, supported by the EVID program of Natural Resources Canada.
