A Spanish company, Sateliot, is sending its 5G IoT satellite to space. The satellite will be carried by SpaceX’s Falcon 9 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The satellite launch will be streamed live on Sateliot’s YouTube channel. The first satellite launch is part of the company’s plan to provide ubiquitous connectivity. Sateliot plans to have 64 satellites in orbit next year and 256 satellites in 2025. The satellites will allow text message conversations in remote areas.
