There are many countries across the world that sell water in plastic pouches. These bags are thrown away once used. It only adds on to the plastic waste that is massively generated everyday and every year. Hiky Muda Clothing based in Tamale, Ghana have found a solution to the waste generated by single-use plastic water pouches. Under the “Pure-water” raincoat project, they have designed a raincoat made out of these plastic pouches. They upcycle this plastic into raincoats by collecting, cleaning and drying them.
