Target has pulled more than 12,000 packages of Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies from store shelves across 20 states and Washington, D.C. due to possible wood contamination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classified this as a Class II recall on August 4, 2025, following an initial recall notice issued by the manufacturer on July 22. Canadian company Give and Go Prepared Foods Corp., which produces the cookies, initiated the voluntary recall after discovering potential wood fragments in the product.
