Ford Recalls 115,539 Trucks for Catastrophic Steering Failure
Ford is recalling 115,539 Super Duty trucks because their steering columns could fail while driving. The recall affects 2020-2021 model year F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks built between February 2019 and September 2020 at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant. The problem involves the steering column’s upper shaft, which could separate from the steering column. If this happens, drivers would lose steering control completely, increasing the risk of a crash.
