Colorectal cancer is no longer just an older person’s disease. Over the past three decades, cases among people under 55 have nearly doubled, creating what health experts now call a “global phenomenon.” The numbers tell a troubling story. In 1995, about 11% of colorectal cancer cases were in people under 55. By 2019, that figure jumped to 20%.
