As Holbox is car-free, you will have to leave a car at the tiny port town overnight if you rent a car.

As most of the water around Holbox is only about waist-deep, you’ll find colorful groves of sea hammocks to wade out to and the coastline is peppered with kayakers, kiteboarders, and paddle boarders.
