Latest Sighting of Cybertruck Prototype Shows New Tonneau Cover and Glass Roof

A working prototype of Tesla electric pickup truck was spotted  climbing incline at the company's new engineering HQ in Palo Alto,  California.

The crew from the What's Inside Twitter page have captured the Tesla Cybertruck prototype with a black tonneau cover and glass top.

Tesla has made quite a few of beta Cybertruck prototypes for test purposes before it starts initial production this summer.

This latest sneak peek (via Electrek) is from California and it portrays the truck, shot from above, probably by a drone.

Tonneau cover was missing from some recent Tesla Cybertruck prototypes that were spotted but they had bed covers featured lighter-colored ones.

Elon Musk previously mentioned that the Cybertruck's tonneau cover will feature embedded solar cells, but one can't figure it here.

As per one of the executives, the tonneau cover will be automatically retractable and strong enough for anybody to stand on it.

Only the left headlight and taillight were lit on this particular Cybertruck prototype.

This may suggest that experts at Tesla have to do more work on the vehicle's auxiliary electrical systems.
